Prior to accepting the Paulding Chamber’s presidency, Carolyn spent 17 years as President and CEO of two fast growing chambers in the Houston (TX) area, developing economic development capital campaigns for various Chambers of Commerce, and most recently served as President of the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, Winder, GA. She has a great history of developing successful economic development initiatives, successful campaign fundraising and achieving goals for progressive, community growth. Her experience in organizing and working with community boards and various state and governmental officials is an asset that has provided Carolyn with the ability to build consensus in the business community. In addition, she has served in leadership positions with the YMCA, United Way, Leadership Houston and Leadership Texas. She directed three trade missions to China and also has a background in the hospitality industry. Carolyn returned to her native state of Georgia after raising her family in Texas. She loves her work with personal satisfaction coming from helping communities achieve their goals and visions. When away from the office, she enjoys travel, history, golf and gardening with her husband, Del, as well as being “Mimi” to two wonderful grandchildren.
Shelbia Bohannon came to the Paulding Chamber after being in the corporate arena for much of her career. Having served the Paulding Chamber for over six years, Shelbia recently received an Institute of Management (IOM) degree from the University of Georgia. Serving as Vice President - Membership Division, Shelbia is charged with the development and growth of the Chamber's Membership Program, while continuing to bring value-added benefits to Chamber members. Shelbia is a life-long resident of Paulding County. She spends her relaxing time enjoying her grandchildren and family.
Lee Ann Shaffer comes to the Chamber by way of Morgantown, West Virginia. Having graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. degree in Communications Studies, Lee Ann is serving the Paulding Chamber of Commerce as Director of Community Development. As Director, she focuses her time and talents in growing and developing the Chamber's special events, building better communication's within the membership, and creating community involvement for the business community. Lee Ann and her husband have lived in Hiram, GA for over three years and enjoy everything Paulding County has to offer.
Beth Willingham joined the Chamber in 2008 as Office Manager. She helps develop and organize multiple facets of the Chamber. She is dedicated to making sure the members of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce receives the highest quality service from their Chamber membership investment. She is a life long resident and is dedicated to the growth and development of Paulding County. Beth is devoted to family and her faith in God. She volunteers with numerous civic organizations and is involved in the preservation of history for Paulding County so that future generations will be able to see where Paulding started as well as how far Paulding can go.
Amy Scheid is employed by Posey Tax and Bookkeeping Services. As an outsource service, Amy works with and for the Chamber on Tuesday's and Thursday's serving as our bookkeeper and overseeing the financial responsibiilites of the Paulding Chamber. Amy and Chuck Posey, Owner of Posey Tax and Bookkeeping works to ensure the Chamber financial policies and procedures are managed and reported to the Board of Director and members.
